The #1 complaint with personal computers today is the abundance
of malware circulating the Internet. When your computer
becomes infected you will most certainly take a performance hit.
Many of these programs actually lower the security on your computer
and offer invitations to other malware programs. One rogue
piece of malware can load your computer with many other computer
viruses and spyware.
Anti-virus software is a good way to protect your computer,
however, it is not 100% reliable. Some viruses are actually
able to disable your anti-virus and infect your machine. Also,
many of the 'so called' spyware removal software programs on the
Internet will install their own spyware on your computer. We
have been removing virus/spyware from computers for the past 10
years and have found the most reliable method is to remove it
manually. While their are tools available to help with the
job, to be 100% certain - we choose to manually remove the
offenders.
Protection tips:
- Never use an Administrative account/profile as your default
logon account.
- Before downloading and installing any utilities, research it
on the web.
